We are so close to showing the full set of befores and afters for our master bath, nearly squeaking in under our two weeks plus bookend weekends goal. As anyone who has renovated part of a home knows, you rarely stay on track with both time and budget (and it's rare to stay on track even with one). But just because you know it will probably take longer or cost more doesn't mean you should abandon the goal. Assuming we can wrap up all the little odds and ends this week, I'll be happy with how quickly we knocked everything out. (You can read the full chronicle of our DIY bath renovation here, here, here, here, here and here. And see the design planning here, here and here.)
In the meantime, here are some little sneak peaks of our progress... with full reveal coming very soon. (This is the last update before the final reveal... I want to retain some surprise!)
Hints of color inside the medicine cabinet and wall cabinet, courtesy of our leftover Sherwin Williams paint samples
The new vanity frame, and the sink that accompanies it
New base trim, mid-process... cut by hand with an old-school saw and mitre box, just like in the first bathroom
Framing for the new brushed nickel shower doors (plus tension rod to keep everything flush while the silicone sealer dries)
Stay tuned for the big reveal!
