Dearest friends --
Thank you ever so much for stopping by. I hope you have a terrific day.
How's that for a polite form letter? Today marks the kick-off of National Manners Month.
Apparently organized by an uber-polite Canadian named Judi the Manners Lady, National Manners Month seeks to "celebrate civility, respect and manners." Some of it is a little hokey, but overall, I'm all for this.
Let's all say hello to our neighbors this month, and maybe strike up some new friendships. Let's smile at strangers, and remember all of our "please" and "thank you" moments (even via email and text message!). What do you say? Who's with me?
If you have little kiddies running around, you can check out the child-oriented manners pledge here. For the grown-ups, what will you do this month? What politeness do you wish more people would engage in more of the time?
If you enjoyed reading this post, please follow the blog with the easy link on the right. It's the polite thing to do. :-) And share your thoughts in the comments! (Pretty please. And hearty thanks.)
