It's Saint Patrick's Day. I'm in Chicago, the city that Ferris Bueller's Day Off taught me to believe is the best Saint Patrick's Day city in America. (Was that a St. Patty's Day parade? The float was more German-themed. But either way, I have it in my head that Chicago is THE place to be today. I mean, in Chicago, they dye the river green. Everyone goes out and celebrates. How can you beat that?)
And I'm here, stuck at O'Hare.
Not watching a parade. Not looking at a green river. And certainly not drinking a green beer. I'm wearing my one business-appropriate green shirt and everything. And I'm listening to Mumford and Sons on iTunes, pretending like that's good enough. Maybe I could download "Whiskey in the Jar" or something....?
But anyway, here's how I've been amusing myself, with some gorgeous mountain home ideas, in no particular order. I'd hoped to post about a pic in House Beautiful that I'm obsessed with, but apparently my camera cord stayed back home in LA. Maybe I'll have better luck tomorrow.
Hope your day is a little more festive!
I know, I know. Bad blogger for not sourcing pictures, but when the sites I found them on clearly didn't source them correctly, I don't feel like giving those sites credit for the photos, you know? ("Someone get this cranky girl a beer, preferably a green one!") :-)
